A little courage
before you go.

Short readings for the moment you almost cancel.

Social Battery home: A little courage, Start reading, today's quotation, All stories and Add a widget.
A small app for the moment before.

You can begin by listening.

You don’t need a better introduction. Sometimes, you just need a different way in.

An excerpt from our reflection in Social Battery.

If tonight feels like an audition, give yourself a different role. You can be the person who pays attention. You do not need a dazzling introduction, a finished project, or a story that makes the whole room turn toward you. Start with enough openness to discover what one other person cares about.

One small step to take with you

At the event, ask one person what brought them there. Listen to their answer, then ask one follow-up about a detail that interests you.

Three readings.
Then back to your evening.

About five minutes to find your own next step.

The five-story library, with readings about listening, curiosity, showing interest, participation and beginning again.
Five stories. Something to return to.
A little perspective
Sourced words and the story behind them, followed by our own reflection.
A manageable next step
One ordinary thing to try, like asking someone what brought them there.
A place to pause
Leave whenever you need. Your reading session waits where you left it.

You can show up
as you are.

A quiet conversation counts. So does deciding you need rest. This is encouragement, with room for either.

A few things
to know.

Can I download it yet?

Social Battery is preparing for its first iPhone release. There isn’t a public download yet. You can ask about early access below.

Do I need an account or internet?

No account is needed. Readings and your place in a session stay on your device and work offline. Opening an original source website needs an internet connection.

What’s the Home Screen widget?

A daily quotation, right on your Home Screen. Tap it to open its story. You choose whether to add it, and your phone manages when it refreshes.

Is this a mental health treatment?

No. Social Battery offers reading and everyday encouragement. It doesn’t diagnose, treat, or promise to change how you feel.

For your next
“maybe I’ll go.”
